Connector Rx

The Connector Rx is a relational device that parents, caregivers and professionals use to help children enhance social learning within their day-to-day activities.

This device has been shown to enhance the relationship between caregivers and their children including children having such conditions as autism spectrum disorders, pervasive developmental disorder, attachment disorders, attention deficit disorders, and oppositional defiant disorder among others.

The Connector Rx works by physically connecting the adult to the child through a belt and cord system. While connected, the child finds it easier to attend to social cues, resonate with the caregiver’s experiences, and integrate this information to respond appropriately to environmental and social signals.

Our work has shown that use of the Connector Rx can result in less anxiety and frustration for parents and children, more enjoyment in the parent-child relationship, more confidence in parenting skills, and a better quality of life for the family.
